Gender reveals and their over-the-top nature have become quite hated in recent times, especially after that couple burned down a forest.
But one dad-to-be may have brought them back with an incredibly rad, guitar-smashing reveal that caused no fires but the one in his heart.
Originally posted to TikTok by @heathandemii, the video has been viewed nearly 12 million times and liked 2.7 million times. It shows the future father holding a guitar over his shoulder as a classic Guns N’ Roses tune plays through a big speaker and a raucous crowd watches in anticipation before, BOOM, he smashes that six-string and goes nuts.
How bloody incredible was that?! The initial fake, timing the smashing of the guitar exactly right, and then the pure, euphoric celebration. What a moment.
Commenters, some who aren’t even fans of gender reveals, are saying the party looks like a great time and are stoked to see the dad so pumped about having a daughter.
“My favourite part is him getting hyped for a future daughter,” said one person. “Then, when his wife or gf approached him, he calmed down, gently wrapped his hands around her face and kissed her so lovingly. THAT'S A MAN!”
“As someone who grew up with an 80’s rock-loving dad, I just know that little girl is gonna have an amazing relationship with her father,” wrote another.
