A New Zealand personalised licence plate reading ‘UPDWAH’ is up for sale in a charity auction.
If you haven’t already jumped on the bandwagon, the support for the mighty Warriors has been spreading Aotearoa to tautoko their efforts currently standing at a strong fourth on this NRL season’s table - Can I get an 'Up The Wahs'?
The current listing sitting at $5000 on TradeMe reads: “Support the boys and our tamariki. We’re selling off our beloved plate to help fundraise for the Hokianga Awhi Trust.”

It continues: “Show you’re the ultimate Warriors fan and become the envy of your Whatsapp group with this absolute beaut of a plate. Anecdotal evidence suggests it can make any car safer than Tohu Harris’s hands.”
“FORGET DRIVING A BMW. THIS PLATE WILL MAKE YOUR CAR STRUCTURALLY STRONGER THAN AN AFB, AND FASTER THAN A FULLY CHARGED DWZ.”
“So chuck down a bid, and do some good!” The description ends before the sellers delve into what good the proceeds from the auction will do.
“What’s the Hokianga Awhi Trust for? It’s all about giving good kids, great opportunities,” they begin.
“IT FUNDS SCHOOL FEES, BOARDING FEES, UNIFORMS, SPORTS, STATIONERY AND OTHER EXPENSES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE FROM THE HOKIANGA.”
They added: “Helping them spread their wings and see where their potential leads them when placed outside of the small rural schooling area they’d otherwise be attending.”
Well if the plate itself wasn’t already enough to tempt ya, maybe the epic opportunity to spread some good is the real hitter to get it gone.

And if you’re wondering who’s behind all of this hero behaviour, well it’s a group of 14 mates who are loud and proud about upping the mighty Wah’s.
So much so, the original reason for keeping the sacred memorabilia was to fund their trip to the grand final game.
However, being the ‘gooduns’ they are, they collectively thought the money would be better for doing some good in the community.
