Despite being a little shy at first, John Cena got his little wrestler out at the Oscars.
Host Jimmy Kimmel pointed out that it's been fifty years since the infamous moment at the 1974 Awards when a streaker ran on the stage. He then said it would be crazy if the exact same thing happened today.
Out of nowhere, a seemingly shirtless Cena popped his head out from the side of the stage and revealed he didn’t want to do the ‘streaking’ bit the two decided on before.
“The male body is not a joke,” he argued.
Anyway, using only the award envelope to cover the family jewels, Cena did end up getting right on stage, showing off his kit for everyone to see. After a cutaway, he was given a golden toga to cover up.
Cena was there to present the Oscar for Best Costume Design.
"Costumes are very important," the butt-naked man said.
Behind-the-scenes footage shows that as the nominations were airing, the lights above Cena turned off and a bunch of people ran on stage to give him the toga.
The Oscar ended up going to ‘Poor Things’, which, ironically, also has a lot of nudity.
