WATCH: Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder hits baseball while surfing in latest ALS challenge

Vids 10/07/2020

You think you might be cool, and then you see these videos of Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder swinging and hitting a baseball while catching waves on his surfboard....and then realise you were never cool at all.

Vedder accepted Chicago Cubs President of Baseball Operations, Theo Epstein's #TrickShot4Snowy challenge, to help suppor the fight against ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as motor neuron disease).

If you remember a few years ago, the ALS Ice Bucket challenge went viral which saw thousands of people tipping buckets of ice water over their heads and challenging other people to do the same within 24 hours (else donate towards ALS).

Vedder first appears in a video, sitting on the water throwing up shakkas, explaining how he was nominated for the challenge, and then nominates fellow PJ bandmate Jeff Ament and Chris Chelios to do the same.

The next video cuts to Vedder on his board, surfing the boat's wake with a baseball bat in hand and helmet strapped on his head.

And then in the third video, someone chucks him a baseball....which the grunge icon connects with and smashes out of the frame. He then peels off on his surfboard.

Eddie Vedder proving to everyone (again) that he's the coolest motherfucker in the world. How gooood.
