A US marine has landed himself in a lot of trouble after absolutely flattening two brawling school students.
A video shared on social media shows the two students trading blows outside the school when the marine, Valdez Sarmiento, blindsides the pair with one of the most brutal double tackles you've ever seen. See the video and massive hit below.
People had mixed reactions to Sarmiento's tackle online.
“It was just too excessive ... how he came toward the kids,” one person wrote.
“It could have been a little less of a tackle, but I believe in discipline. These kids were not behaving. Someone's got to stop it,” another said.
One person on twitter even called the hit "a soft tackle to stop a fight using non-lethal force. Crybaby parents need to learn to teach his or her child better."
In a statement the Marine Corps said Valdez Sarmiento has received counseling and been reassigned to office duties. Hopefully he doesn't drop a shoulder indoors.
