Leaked footage shows WWE Stars stopped wrestling during the ad breaks

The arena was empty because of coronavirus precautions, and they thought no one would notice.

Alright, so here's the deal.

Like many other sporting matches, the WWE have not allowed fans to attend live wrestling shows to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.

It's a smart decision - large gatherings of people ultimately will mean the virus is spread around faster, wrecking havoc on hospitals, healthcare workers and pretty much every damn other person in the country.

But it also changes the entire dynamic of professional wrestling, with an empty stadium filled with only the wrestlers (and referees) performing.

It's actually quite bizzare to watch - check it out, here's the match in question featuring Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross taking on Bayley and Sasha Banks.

And it turns out, it can lead to accidental stuff ups that pull the curtain back on the industry.

Initially scheduled for its Detroit venue, Friday Night Smackdown was moved to an empty WWE Performance Center. And with nobody there to see in the arena, instead of carrying on the matches as they usually do in ad breaks, the leaked footage shows the wrestlers completely stopped and just chilled.

The clip shows the four female wrestlers just hanging out in the ring together, walking around and not wrassling at all.

And you know what - why wouldn't ya?

They thought they were in an ad break, there was no one there to see them....why would you possibly continue working when you can just clock off for a little bit? Surely no one here still seriously believes WWE wrestling is real (sorry if you do). We all know it's a show and and for entertainment, but we've never seen the illusion so clearly broken right in front of our eyes like this before.

And it appears many wrestling fans share a similar sentiment.
