Chris Cornell's daughter Lily Cornell Silver has recently announced a mental health awareness podcast in his memory, called "Mind Wide Open."
The daughter of the late Soundgarden frontman took to Instagram to share the details of the podcast series. Mind Wide Open will focus on mental health topics, with guests including "mental health professionals, public figures, peers, and others who will share their stories and struggles, as well as provide knowledge and insight."
Lily's goal through the podcast is to open up "candid, unapologetic" discussions around stigmas surrounding mental health, especially in the current pandemic climate. She also wants to highlight the fact that marginalized groups don't have enough access to mental health recourses.
Lily announced the podcast on the third anniversary of Chris Cornell's tragic death earlier this week, saying her and her dad "often talked about our experiences with anxiety and depression."
