Corey Taylor releases two new songs off his first-ever solo album, "CMFT"

A new sound from the Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman.

Here's a new sound from the Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman...

After months of teasing and hyping the release of his first-ever solo album "CMFT" (take a guess what that stands for), Corey Taylor has given fans some good news today by dropping two new songs.

The first one, "CMFT Must Be Stopped", features a wide range of guests, from rappers Tech N9ne and Kid Bookie on vocals to familar faces Lars Ulrich, Marilyn Manson, Rob Halford and Chris Jericho making cameo appearances in the video.

The second single is called "Black Eyes Blue", which sounds a bit more familiar from the Stone Sour star, but completely not at the same time.

"It's everything that I wanted it to be", Taylor told the Knotfest.com podcast, as reported by Loudwire.

"There's some Slade in there; there's some Johnny Cash, there's some Alice in Chains. Actually, two years ago, I started teaching myself piano just so I could record this song that I wrote for my wife. And I was able to play it and record it. And it's really good — it's probably one of the best things I've ever written."

But what do you think?
