‘Master of Puppies’: Dog sneaks out of house and goes to Metallica’s Los Angeles concert

Dog of the year candidate.

I often envy dogs for their stress-free lifestyle and now apparently also because they get free entry to Metallica concerts.

Storm, believed to be an Akita/Shephard mix, attended the band’s epic concert at LA’s SoFi Stadium, evidenced by a hilarious photo of her sitting in a chair at the show. Metallica posted the pic of the metal-loving pup to their social media, sharing her story and getting some jokes off.

“You might have heard we had a four-legged fan join us for M72LA,” the band wrote. “Despite reports to the contrary, our friend Storm snuck out of her home adjacent to SoFi Stadium and made her way to the gig all by herself”.

“After a full night taking in the show with her Metallica family, Storm was safely reunited with her actual family the next day. She had a great time listening to her favourite songs, including ‘Barx Æterna’, ‘Master of Puppies’, and ‘The Mailman That Never Comes’.”

Finally, they added that Storm transcends rules and other dogs are not allowed at shows.

“And in case you were wondering, no. You definitely shouldn’t bring your furry friends to the M72 World Tour. But this dog sure did have her day.”

After being taken to a shelter, Storm was eventually reunited with her loving owner who said the pup is “home and safe”.

Storm wasn’t the only Metallica attendee pictured enjoying the gig. Jason Momoa rocked up to the show and unsurprisingly, was filmed by heaps of people in the mosh.

Footage posted to TikTok by @thekrystalmethod0 shows the ‘Game of Thrones’ actor charging around the snake pit and getting rowdy, but not too rowdy, with other hearty fans.

Imagine going to a Metallica show and seeing a dog sitting in a seat before you head to the mosh and bump into Jason Momoa. Crazy world we’re living in.
