WATCH: ‘Winnie the Pooh’ horror movie ‘Blood and Honey’ trailer has just dropped

Winnie the Pooh and Piglet look pretty fkn metal in this.

The first trailer for a new Winnie-the-Pooh slasher-horror movie has been released, and it’s definitely not the happy Disney cartoon it used to be.

The film, called ‘Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey,’ will follow Pooh and his best mate Piglet, as they go on a rampage after Christopher Robin abandons them for college. Without their human friend, both characters turn feral, and start stalking and killing humans.

The original Winnie-the-Pooh character from A.A. Milne’s first Pooh book has recently joined the public domain, meaning the killer-Pooh in the film is not breaching any sort of copyright. The filmmakers did have to change aspects of the characters though, including swapping Pooh’s red shirt for lumberjack gear. The movie also won’t show Tigger, as he’s still under copyright.

The film was filmed over 10 days near England’s Ashdown Forest, which was the original inspiration for Milne’s stories.

So far, reviews about the trailer online are mixed. The general consensus is that it looks so “so bad,” “ridiculous,” and like a “disaster.” But - it seems people are still keen to watch it.

One person commented, "Idon't know if this movie's gonna be good, but I'm still gonna watch it just for novelty value."

While another said, "This looks so awesomely bad, I can't wait!"

Suurely they chuck some Slipknot into the soundtrack.
