Foo Fighters have just announced a new best-of compilation album!
The collection, titled ‘The Essential Foo Fighters’ will have a tracklist that includes songs from nearly every Foo Fighters album, from their 1995 self-titled debut to their 2021 ‘Medicine at Midnight’. The only album that’s been missed off is 2014’s 'Sonic Highways'.
The CD version will feature 19 tracks, while the double vinyl edition will have two extra songs - ‘Breakout’ and ‘Waiting on a War.’ Both formats will start and end with a version of ‘Everlong’ - starting with the original, and ending with an acoustic rendition.
The tracklist also includes ‘Cold Day in the Sun,’ which was written and sung by the Foo’s late, great drummer Taylor Hawkins, and became a staple of the band’s live shows ever since its release in 2005.
‘The Essential Foo Fighters’ will come 13 years after their 2009 best-of album, ‘Greatest Hits,’ which out-sold all of the band’s nine studio albums respectively.
The best-of compilation album is set to drop on Friday 28th October via Sony Music, you can pre-order it here.
