Taylor Hawkins’ son Shane went back on stage for his dad’s second tribute gig last week, and absolutely smashed it again.
The second and final Taylor Hawkins’ tribute gig went down last Tuesday night (September 27) at LA’s Kia Forum, which saw an incredible lineup of artists to celebrate the life of the late, great Foo Fighters drummer.
Last month, Shane stole the show at the first tribute gig at London’s Wembley Stadium, making headlines after nailing the drums alongside Foo Fighters for ‘My Hero.’ As for the LA gig, he stayed on for two songs and blew it out of the park again.
Before ripping into ‘My Hero,’ Grohl introduces Shane onto stage and lets him bask in the applause for a few moments like a proud uncle.
Once again, Shane played his heart out with immense talent and passion.
They then launched straight into the Foo’s 1995 track ‘I’ll Stick Around’ and of course, Shane bloody nailed it. Check out some fan footage below.
What a talented kid - he’s going places.
