Jack White surprised the crowd at his show in Malaysia last week, with an unexpected cover of Nirvana’s 1993 single ‘Heart-Shaped Box.’
White has been touring around Asia for the last month on his Supply Chain Issues tour, playing songs from his 2022 albums Fear Of The Dawn and Entering Heaven Alive. During his set on Wednesday (November 16), he ripped into the Nirvana tune.
It was White’s first time covering the song, and his rendition had a more bluesy feel to it than the original.
The singer typically isn’t a fan of phones at concerts, and usually gets his audience to put their phones into special locked bags, so there isn’t that much footage of the cover. But we’ve managed to track down a couple of fan-shot-videos below:
