A bloke in Indonesia had to undergo emergency surgery after breaking his penis while performing a risky sex position, The New York Post reports.
The unnamed 37-year-old was reportedly doing the ‘reverse cowgirl position,’ in which the woman is on top facing away from the partner, according to the journal Urology Case Reports.
According to Dr Karan Raj, who posts medical-related videos on TikTok, the position is the “world’s most dangerous” and accounts for a giant 50% of intercourse injuries.

During the position, the poor bloke suddenly heard a loud crack, followed by “pain discomfort and immediate loss of erection.”
It gets worse. He then began bleeding out of the tip of his penis and was unable to urinate.
By the time the bloke took himself to the hospital, his piece had swollen and turned purple - this usually occurs when there’s a tear in the tunica albuginea, which is the tissue that lets the penis become enlarged/ erect. On top of all of this, his penile tissue had also ruptured.
In other words, the bloke had a “wide and deep fracture” to his piece. In other other words, his penis was legit broken.
But wait, there’s more. On top of a broken penis, he also suffered a severe hematoma, which is an injury to the wall of the blood vessel that causes blood to leak into the surrounding tissue. The poor dude.
The good news is surgeons were able to repair the man’s member, and everything went to plan. The study notes report that several weeks later, his piece was back “in good shape.”
