Mad dog caught swimming with rhinos at Auckland Zoo 'lucky to be alive' experts say

Punters at Auckland Zoo got a hell of an unexpected horny surprise when a bloke was spotted having a bath in the watering hole of the rhino enclosure.

Punters at Auckland Zoo got a hell of an unexpected horny surprise when a bloke was spotted having a bath in the watering hole of the rhino enclosure.

One right-place-right-time visitor posted the now-viral video to her Instagram story, where the mad dog can be seen almost completely underwater before making sure he rinses his face and hair just like his mum showed him.

She added her own take on the whole palaver, which I'm strongly inclined to agree with despite having lived in Auckland most of my life.

"Auckland you're a strange place. Someone just fully jumped into the rhino enclosure for a swim 😂😂thought he was a zookeeper at first when he was just with the rhinos 😶."

Luckily for those watching (won’t someone please think of the children?!) the fella remained clothed the entire time, but whether he was just a wannabe Steve Irwin (RIP, mate) or just needed a wash, looks like he left the old Head N Shoulders  3-in-1 at home.

A Zoologist said the intruder is "lucky to be alive" and that being attacked by a rhino would be like being smashed by Jonah Lomu. (Okay they didn't say that EXACTLY but I reckon that’s about right)

Eventually, the ballsy bugger got out of the water and was taken away by the police. No charges were laid but I doubt this jungle explorer will be allowed back into a zoo anytime soon.
