Watch Slash and Billy Gibbons lead all-star Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute

It's worth a watch.

Following the death of the last surviving member of Lynyrd Skynyrd Gary Rossington, Slash has teamed up with Billy Gibbons and other rockers to pay tribute to the band.

The DMT Music Awards saw Billy Gibbons, Paul Rodgers and members of the Allman Brothers Band join Slash onstage for a tribute medley of ‘Simple Man’ and ‘Sweet Home Alabama.’

Peter Frampton took the stage to pay tribute to the late Gary Rossington, saying, "Gary not only helped define the band's sound, he inspired millions of fans and musicians.

“He's now joined his fellow Skynyrd bandmates in rock and roll heaven, but we will all enjoy their music forever."

Rodgers took on lead vocals for the start of ‘Simple Man,’ before being joined by country singer Cody Johnson midway through the tune; with both singers trading parts for the rest of the song.

LeAnn Rimes and Wynonna Judd also took the stage as back up singers for both songs, while Slash and Gibbons played guitar for both.

Then a rendition of ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ came, where Slash and Gibbons came to the forefront with some guitar solos.

The tribute was epic, have a watch up top.
