Artificial Intelligence is getting scarily smarter, and the latest thing we’ve found is an AI-created duet between Chester Bennington and Chris Cornell of ‘The Promise.’
Chester’s vocals, which were created through AI, have been added to Chris’ vocals on the song, and it undoubtedly sounds like the late Linkin Park frontman.
Honestly, I’m not 100% sure how to feel about this. On one hand, I think it’s extraordinary to hear the two late, great singers on a track together. It’s a beautiful song and to hear the two of them sing together makes me all kinds of emotional.
On the other hand, I think it’s scary that AI can do this, and it’s almost unsettling to know that the vocals aren’t actually Chester singing, but rather a computer that has recreated his vocals.
I guess it brings up emotions of wishing the two were still around eh. Whether that brings you comfort or discomfort, I still reckon the duet is amazing to listen to.
