Slipknot announce they’re ‘parting ways’ with band mate Craig Jones, then swiftly delete post

WTF is going on?!

We’ve got some drama in the heavy metal world today team, as Slipknot swiftly deleted a post announcing they are parting ways with Craig Jones.

Earlier today, they shared a statement on social media simply stating the band's keyboardist won’t be a member of Slipknot anymore.

It read: “To our fans, Slipknot is announcing that we have parted ways with Craig Jones. We wish Jones all the best for the future.”

However, the post is now deleted from all their social media accounts. WTF is going on here?

Even more interestingly, Knotfest, which is a festival Slipknot created, still have a post announcing the split on their website and Instagram.

The plot thickens even more as the latest post on the band’s Instagram is a photo of a brand-new mask. There is no caption and no info at all about what the new mask means.

Slipknot fans in the comments of the post are speculating like there is no tomorrow.

“I’m so fucking confused,” wrote one person, with many other commenters sharing that sentiment.

“I hope they’re making us think Craig is leaving, but in reality, he’s getting a new mask,” said another.

“I'm terrified this is a new member,” a third added. “I will respect him of course, but I really feel like it won't be the same. Also, people are saying that was super quick, it's because they have it all planned out before they make the change.”

“Slipknot needs to cut it out!” one more wrote. “They’re way too old to be with this mystery stuff. The music doesn’t match the rollouts anymore.”

Slipknot has just kicked off their European tour, so maybe they are trying to build a bit of hype for that. To be honest, no one but the band members know what the bloody hell is going on.
