New trailer for ‘Fallout’ live-action TV show has dropped & it's just as violent as the games

Executive producer Jonathan Nolan described the TV series as “a non-interactive version” of Fallout 5.

Prime Video has finally dropped the first full-length trailer for their upcoming ‘Fallout’ live-action TV series, and it looks like it’s gonna be epic.

‘Fallout’ is set 200 years after the apocalypse and is the story of ‘haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have,’ according to an official description.

“The gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind — and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird and highly violent universe waiting for them.”

The newly released trailer starts off with a retro-futuristic style commercial for Vault-Tec’s idealised world following the apocalypse, before vault dweller Jean (played by Ella Purnell) leaves Vault 33 into the Los Angeles Wasteland where she’s faced with some hectic danger and near-death experiences.

The upcoming series is set in the same universe as the games, but isn’t outrightly re-telling the stories of them. Executive producer Jonathan Nolan described the TV series as “a non-interactive version” of Fallout 5.

The overall vibe of the trailer definitely feels connected to the video game, with references like The Brotherhood of Steel, and the Vault Boy Bobblehead which is shown throughout the trailer. It also looks like the show is gonna have some sarcastic humour sprinkled throughout the violence. Plus the power armour looks sick.

Fallout is set to be released on Prime Video on April 11th, with all eight episodes dropping at once. Have a geeze at the trailer up top.
