An All Black legend is handing you free Wicked Wings as you're surrounded by fellow Blues fans hurtling towards Eden Park. A dream? No. It's potentially your Friday night.
To get Blues fans riled up for the game against the Western Force on Friday, KFC will be running a Gravy Train from Auckland's CBD to the match.
If you have a ticket to the match, you can hop on the KFC Gravy Train for free. Just rock up to Britomart Train Station well before kick-off time. Once you show staff your match ticket, you’ll be directed to the right platform.
Blues legend Carlos Spencer will be on the train too, hosting the party as the conclucktor - ayyyyy see what they did there? He and a bunch of KFC 'wingers' will be roaming the carriages and handing out free kai.
“I’m thrilled to bring this experience to life and give KFC and Blues fans alike the opportunity to ride The KFC Gravy Train,” he said. “It’s an experience you don’t want to miss."
Blues CEO Andrew Hore loves seeing big crowds at home matches and reckons a free ride and free KFry is a great way to enjoy live rugby.
“We’re keen to see more Kiwis make the most of live Super Rugby games at Eden Park,” he said. “It’s a great day out, competitively priced and with free public transport. Now, with some complimentary KFC thrown into the mix, the offer has got even better.”
KFC’s general manager of marketing Clark Wilson called the Gravy Train “next level".
"In a world first, we’re combining two of Kiwis’ favourite passions: Rugby and fried chicken," he said.
