Watch the insane moment lightning strikes during Metallica’s ‘Master of Puppets’ performance

Fans at Metallica's Munich show on Friday night were treated by mother nature.

Metallica took ‘Ride The Lightning’ to a whole nother level on Friday night - after a thunderstorm timed itself perfectly with their live performance of ‘Master of Puppets.’

The heavy metal band stopped off in Munich’s Olympiastadion for their M72 World Tour on Friday night (May 24), and played a 16-song-set to their German fans.

During the opening guitar riff to their final song, the iconic 1986 tune ‘Master of Puppets’, lightning struck at the perfect time and rain started pouring down onto the crowd.

You honestly couldn’t write the timing. Fan-shot-footage shows the moment the lightning struck and heavens opened up during the intro, then again nearer the middle of the song.

One fan posted the video to social media, writing: “Went to the Metallica concert in München today, a thunderstorm happened and it made for the coolest fucking intro of all time”.

And a bunch of fans on social media agree that it was a certified sick moment.

Referencing the Netflix TV show Stranger Things, one fan commented, “Eddie Munson joins from Upside Down!”

Another commented, “Now that’s pretty goddamn metal man.”

Plus, a lot of fans believe it was the late, great Cliff Burton paying the band and crowd a visit.

“Dude nah no way that’s a coincidence, that’s Cliff Burton,” one fan wrote.

While another commented, “Cliff just wanted to join”

Such a sick moment!
