The Pretty Reckless’ Taylor Momsen gets rabies shots after being bitten by bat at AC/DC gig

“He was cute, but yes he bit me…so rabies shots for the next two weeks.”

In a very Ozzy Osbourne-esque moment, The Pretty Reckless’ Taylor Momsen was bitten by a bat on stage while opening for AC/DC in Spain last week.

AC/DC are currently making their way around Europe on their Power Up tour and stopped off in the Spanish city of Seville on Wednesday night (May 29).

The Pretty Reckless were performing their song ‘Witches Burn’ when a bat flew onto the frontwoman’s leg and latched on, before the crowd started yelling and pointing at her to try and get her attention.

Blissfully unaware, Momsen asked the crowd, "You guys are pointing at something, and I wanna know what you're saying.”

Momsen then finally notices the bat on her leg, to which she says “There's a fkn flying bat on my leg right now. Can someone help me, please? I must really be a witch!"

The frontwoman let out a little scream and enlisted her crew to help her, who got the bat safely off her leg, but not before the little sucker bit her.

"Gracias. It's alright and the bat is fine. He's going to be my new friend,” she calmly said after the bat was removed. Honestly, her whole reaction was a whole lot more chill than my reaction would’ve been with a fkn mini vampire on my leg.

Momsen took to Instagram to post a video of the ordeal afterwards, revealing she needed to go to the hospital to get rabies shots.

She wrote in the caption: “So…ROCK AND ROLL MOMENT…in Sevilla Wednesday during Witches Burn of all songs… a BAT flew onto me and clung to my leg…in the moment I was performing and had no idea until the incredible crowd kept screaming and pointing…”

The caption continued, “He was cute, but yes he bit me…so rabies shots for the next two weeks.”

She signed off the post thanking healthcare workers, saying: “Thanks to all the staff at the hospital who dubbed me #batgirl after seeing it on the local news that morning…that's one for the books!!!! @acdc #pwrup #BATGIRL."

A few days later, the AC/DC crew didn’t let Momsen forget about the ordeal. She shared a photo to Instagram yesterday (June 3) standing in front of a ‘no bats’ sign that the crew had put up backstage.

The Pretty Reckless will continue to open for AC/DC for the rest of their European dates, including London’s Wembley Stadium next month.
