Best man asked to leave wedding by bride after risky joke in speech fell flat

You gotta read what the nan called him after he tried apologising 😂

From hero to zero real quick.

If you've ever been asked to be a best man, you know you have one important job to do at the wedding - deliver a kickarse best man speech.

It's not an easy task, and can cause massive stress and anxiety as you have to find the perfect balance of humour, sensitivity, heartwarming, length and most important - not be boring.

Meet this chap.

Originally shared on reddit, this best man's speech massively backfired when he told a risky joke that fell flat, causing tears from bridesmaids and even ending with the bride (and groom) asking him to leave.

Oof. Here's what he said.

Bro. BRUH.

That was hard to write without cringing - imagine how everyone at the reception would've felt and reacted.

He thought his joke would be met with a round of applause and some laughter, he got the exact opposite - dead silence and shocked faces.

He further explains:

"One of them started crying and I didn't actually mean any of them, it was literally just nonsense. When I went to apologise, with out sounding mean, I realised that she isn't actually that good looking and was significantly less beautiful than the other bridesmaids.

"The bride came up to me and just said, 'I think it's best you leave', and the groom just nodded behind her."

I felt so bad and messaged them all and also apologised on the group Facebook page. I got an inbox from the bride's man just saying "c*nt".
