WATCH: Disturbed drop first new song in four years, 'Hey You'

Disturbed are back with new music for the first time in four years.

Disturbed are back with new music for the first time in four years.

The band dropped their fiery new single 'Hey You', along with a cinematic music video in the early hours of this morning (July 15).

Check it out below.

As reported by LoudWire, frontman David Draiman revealed the band's follow-up to 2018's Evolution would be "angsty," "aggressive," and "old-school Disturbed."

The song, like many others in 2022, is influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic and how its made our existence an "incredible, perfect storm of elements."

He told LoudWire,

"We had isolation, we had removal from any kind of normalcy, we had people really go down the rabbit hole of social media in a big, big way. And if anything, it intensified the division that was already there."

He further explained elsewhere that the song is a wake up call.

"We’ve become our own worst enemies. Civil discourse has become the exception instead of the norm. People have lost themselves in outrage addiction."
