But for those who are still keen to infuse a bitta metal into their special day while still keeping a traditional wedding vibe, this bloke has the perfect songs for it.
Bassist/ keyboardist Stephen Beerkens has transformed songs like ‘One,’ ‘Master of Puppets,’ ‘Seek & Destroy’ and ‘For Whom The Bell Tolls’ into gentle piano ballads, and uploads snippets of his covers to TikTok.
And it’s not just Metallica songs that he gives the wedding-song treatment to either.
He’s covered a variety of rock artists, including Limp Bizkit, Rage Against The Machine, Soundgarden, Tool, Ozzy Osbourne, Blink-182, System of A Down, Iron Maiden, Papa Roach and more.
A bunch of rock/ metal lovers have flocked to the comments of Beerkens TikToks to ask how they can get full-length versions of his covers for their wedding day.
While it’s only snippets that he uploads to TikTok, he replies to comments telling people to email him to get the full versions.
