Watch: Blink-182 tease three new songs & announce new album 'One More Time...'

Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker are all set to drop their first new album together since 2011.

Blink 182’s Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker are all set to drop their first new album together since 2011, titled ‘One More Time…’.

The band announced the new album this morning (September 19), by dropping a 4-minute-trailer featuring interview clips with Zane Lowe, as well as archival clips from the band in their early days, and recent performances.

The video also teased three new tracks from the upcoming album, ‘Anthem Part 3,’ ‘You Don’t Know What You’ve Got,’ and the title track ‘One More Time.’

In the trailer, the boys open up about the different tragic circumstances they experienced prior to their reunion, like Hoppus’ cancer diagnosis, and Barker’s plane crash.

“On the album, ‘One More Time’ is written about ‘why does it take these catastrophes like me being in a plane crash or Mark being sick for our band to get back together?” Barker says in the trailer.

DeLonge remarked that after hearing about Hoppus’ lymphoma cancer diagnosis, it inspired him to re-join the band.

“I remember telling my wife, ‘I don’t think I’m ever going to play music again, I don’t think I’m ever gonna tour again,’” DeLonge said. “Until Mark told me he was sick, and then I was like, that’s the only thing I wanted to do.”

The title track ‘One More Time’ is all set for release this Thursday September 21, which comes after Blink’s single ‘Edging’ that they released last year when they announced their reunion tour.

DeLonge said about the album, “coming out with these words, ‘One More Time,’ it’s like, ‘Hey, this is the last time we’re going to fuck this up.”

The album is set for release on October 20th - which means when the band heads to NZ in March next year, we’ll be up to speed on the boys’ new tunes. Get all your ticketing & event info for Blink-182 Live in New Zealand here.
