WATCH: ‘The Boys’ season 4 trailer is out and it gets gory, horny and really fkn weird

And we expect nothing less.

Supes and their horrific behaviour are back as the trailer for season 4 of ‘The Boys’ is finally out.

The trailer starts with a voiceover of how “all democracies fail”, shows characters getting into BDSM and blood-soaked situations and introduces a few new faces. Amazon didn’t reveal a release date for the new season, just that it would be out in 2024.

“The world is on the brink,” the description reads. “Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under the muscly thumb of Homelander, who is consolidating his power.”

“Butcher, with only months to live, has lost Becca’s son as well as his job as The Boys’ leader. The rest of the team are fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late.”

One of the fresh faces joining the show in season four is Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who you may recognise from ‘The Walking Dead’ series. He’s the bloke in the trailer who told Karl Urlban’s Butcher character that ‘The Boys’ is a shit name for a group.

We know fuck-all about the rest of his character, with the show’s actual Twitter account posting: “No, we ain’t tellin ya anything besides he wears a suit and swears like a sailor.”

Other actors joining the cast are Susan Heyward and Valorie Curry. Their supe characters are Sister Sage and Firecracker, respectively. They were both supporting Antony Starr’s Homelander in the trailer so it’s likely they’ll be more than slightly evil, but you never know.

Speaking of Homelander, Starr recently went viral for a hilarious behind-the-scenes blooper of him swearing up a storm dressed as the character.

“Fuck off, fuck off, ahh fuck my life,” Starr says as he's strapped into a harness that keeps on going up and up and up. He drops a few different swear words for good measure too.

I’m sure there will be a few scenes in the next ‘Boys’ season that will have us reacting similarly and I can’t wait.
