Ozzy Osbourne’s planning ‘two more shows’ so he can ‘say goodbye to his fans’ properly

Ozzy's keen for a couple last hurrahs to thank his fans.

It sounds like Ozzy Osbourne’s planning to get back on stage for two final hurrahs in the UK, so he can farewell his fans and touring days properly.

Ozzy’s wife and manager Sharon revealed the rock legend’s future plans onstage at her Cut The Crap show in London on Sunday (Jan 21), as reported by Kerrang, where she mentioned Ozzy was keen to put on a last couple of shows in his hometown of Birmingham.

“He won’t tour again,” she said, “but we are planning on doing two more shows to say goodbye as he feels like, ‘I have never said goodbye to my fans and I want to say goodbye properly.’”

It’s nearly been a year since the Prince of Darkness announced he was retiring from touring due to his ongoing health complications. He took to social media in February last year to let fans know that his touring days were over, however he was still keen to find a way to perform “without having to travel from city to city and country to country.”

Last November, Ozzy spoke to Rolling Stone UK, where he sounded absolutely guttered that he wasn’t well enough to get back onstage yet, or say goodbye to his fans properly.

"That's one of the things I've been the most fucking pissed off at: I never got the chance to say goodbye or thank you," he said. "Because my fans are what it's all about. If I can just do a few gigs… They've been loyal to me for fucking years… It’s my extended family really.”

He continued, “If I can't continue doing shows on a regular basis, I just want to be well enough to do one show where I can say, 'Hi guys, thanks so much for my life.' That's what I'm working towards, and if I drop down dead at the end of it, I'll die a happy man."

We’re stoked to hear that Ozzy’s now planning for a couple of gigs so he does have the chance to thank his loyal fans.

There’s been no chat of dates yet, but Sharon said the shows will be happening in Aston Villa's stadium Villa Park, where Ozzy’s from.

Let’s hope there’s talk of dates soon, so I can book some leave and head to Birmingham. (CC: Brad the Boss).
