People are vomiting and fainting at cinemas watching new horror film, ‘Terrifier 2’

"For those choosing to continue, you've been warned."

If gruesome films are a bit of you - you’ll probably wanna give this movie a nudge when it gets to NZ.

The new Terrifier sequel, ‘Terrifer 2,’ is apparently so gruesome that some cinema-goers vomited or fainted during the screenings in the US last week.

The sequel to the 2016 controversial horror sees maniacal mime Art the Clown butcher and main unsuspecting victims on Halloween - with the first showings of the movie sparking extreme reactions from audiences, with some cinemagoers not being able to handle its "brutal depictions of horror".

Producers have issued a warning about the film's "graphic" content to ensure viewers are fully prepared for what they are about to see.

Producer Steve Barton shared on his social media accounts: "This movie contains scenes of graphic violence and brutal depictions of horror,

"Viewers who are faint of heart, prone to light-headedness or have weak stomachs are advised to take extreme caution.

"There have already been numerous instances of fainting and vomiting in theatres. For those choosing to continue, you've been warned."

One movie-goer tweeted saying, "Terrifier 2 was an amazing gory mess. The guy behind me passed out cold and crashed into my chair, another guy left because he didn’t feel good, I overheard him say, and walking out the theatre door I heard a guy puking hard and loud in the bathroom."

A second posted a photo of his mate next to paramedics at the cinema, writing: "My friend passed out and the theatre called an ambulance. Highly recommended."

While a third commented, "Watching #Terrifier2 my friend just threw up and then passed out. I’ve counted five walk outs so far. I’m loving it."

According to Just Watch, Terrifier 2 will be available to watch in NZ on November 3rd. Have a watch of the trailer up top.
