James Hetfield and Peter Dinklage in the same film? Ooo.. yeahh!
Deadline has announced that Metallica frontman James Hetfield is set to star in a new, dark Western thriller movie alongside Game Of Thrones actor Peter Dinklage.
Production is underway for the upcoming film, which is an adaptation of Joe R. Lansdaleâs 2013 book âThe Thicket.â
The story is set at the turn-of-the-century, and follows the abduction of a girl by a violent murderer named Cut Throat Bill. The girlâs brother hires a bounty hunter, Reginald Jones (Dinklage) to find her, gathering a new crowd of misfits along the way.
âThe gang tracks Cut Throat Bill into the deadly no-manâs land known as The Big Thicket â a place where blood and chaos reign,â Deadline reports.
The Metallica frontmanâs role hasnât been announced yet, but we know Juliette Lewis, EsmĂ© Creed-Miles, Levon Hawke, Leslie Grace, Gbenga Akinnagbe, Ned Dennehy and Arliss Howard will be joining him - with Peter Dinklage both starring and producing.
This isnât Hetfieldâs first rodeo, either. Heâs dabbled in acting before, playing Officer Bob Hayward in Netflixâs Ted Bundy drama âExtremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil And Vile,â and has voiced characters in Dave âThe Barbarianâ and âSkylanders Academyâ.
A release date has not yet been announced.
