Blink-182 drop new songs, ‘More Than You Know’ & ‘One More Time’ along with nostalgic music vid

The Blink-182 boys have dropped two new tracks this morning - one as promised, and one as a surprise.

The Blink-182 boys have dropped two new tracks this morning - one as promised, and one as a surprise.

The classic line-up of Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker announced their upcoming album earlier this week, ‘One More Time…’ - along with releasing a tease-trailer which included interviews and snippets of a few new tunes off the album.

The title track ‘One More Time’ was expected for release today, and surprisingly, doesn’t include any dick jokes or immaturity, and is actually more of a heartfelt ballad. The lyrics address the band’s break up, and reflect on Mark’s battle with cancer and Travis’ plane crash.

The tune starts with Tom singing over acoustic guitar and piano, “Strangers, from strangers into brothers/ From brothers into strangers once again/ We saw the whole world, but I couldn’t see the meaning/ I couldn’t even recognize my friends.”

Mark sings back, “I wish they told us, it shouldn’t take a sickness/ Or aeroplanes falling out the sky.”

The music video is an absolute trip down memory lane, with the settings continually changing into different Blink-182 music video backdrops and live performance settings from over the years.

In fact, some GC in the comments has time stamped each setting change in the music video, check it out below:

The upcoming album is set for release on October 20th - which means when the band heads to NZ in March next year, we’ll be up to speed on the boys’ new tunes. Get all your ticketing & event info for Blink-182 Live in New Zealand here.
