Ozzy Osbourne shouts out rockers who supported him while 'laid up' with health issues

Legends supporting legends.

The Prince of Darkness has shown love to some fellow rock artists who have supported him through his recent health issues.

On the most recent episode of ‘The Osbournes Podcast’, Ozzy told his wife Sharon and their kids Kelly and Jack that a couple of artists in particular have been great mates, but there's a long list of people who have reached out.

“Since I’ve been laid up, Jonathan (Davis) from Korn has been so fucking supportive,” Ozzy said.

“I didn’t really know him that well but I texted him when his wife died and I said ‘If you need a chat, go on the phone with me’ and he’s never forgotten that.”

“He’s been so consistent in the last five years: ‘Come on brother, you can do it’. It means so much when you’re fucking laid up.”

Ozzy and Sharon added that a few other incredible artists have been on their side.

“And Slash,” he shared. “Slash has been the same.”

“David (Draiman) from Disturbed,” Sharon said. “David has always been a huge supporter.”

“It goes on and on and on Ozzy. So many of these guys - Corey (Taylor) from Slipknot has always been a huge supporter. We’re blessed to have come out of it with a lot of friends.”

Ozzy has undergone a series of spinal operations after suffering a fall in 2019. In September, the legend shared that he’s had his “final surgery” and is keen to get back to rocking ASAP.

He told Metal Hammer magazine: "I’m getting myself fit. I’ve done two albums fairly recently, but I want to do one more album and then go back on the road.”

“I’m just starting to work on it now, and we’ll be recording in the early part of next year. I want to take my time with this one!”

In 2020, he revealed he was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2003.

"You think you're lifting your feet, but your foot doesn't move," he told The Guardian. "I feel like I'm walking around in lead boots."

Ozzy is an absolute one-of-one legend of the game so it’s not surprising to hear that a bunch of icons supported him when he needed it. Looking forward to the next project!
